Two Fall trips are offered this year:
October 15-16 - Fall Into Charlotte's Broadway & Museum Scene
If you enjoy city life including Broadway productions, vibrant museums and a thriving culinary scene in the Western part of the state, then this trip might appeal to you. The trip feature is an evening performance of The Great Gatsby across the street from our "Uptown" Charlotte hotel at Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. The following morning you can choose between two museum experiences. For the Art Lover, a visit to the State's first Art Museum, The Mint, is planned along with a guided tour of the traveling exhibit, Caravaggio Revolution. If history is more to your liking, choose the Charlotte Museum of History for the Voices of Independence Experience. This commemorates the year of America 250 with an interactive experience where you meet characters who changed history during the American Revolution. Charlotte and Mecklenburg County have been rooted in Colonial history since its inception when settlers named it after King George III's wife, Charlotte to curry political favor.
