Experience an Immersive Two Day/One Night trip to the the Foothills of North Carolina for the 29th Annual Catawba Valley Pottery Festival and a tour of Linbrook Heritage Estate - March 27-28.

This two day/one night trip combines an early spring visit to the 29th Annual Catawba Valley Pottery & Antiques Festival In Hickory along with a tour of Linbook Heritage Estate in the scenic foothills of the Uwharrie Mountains. At the heart of the estate grounds, stands Linbrook Hall, one of the largest privately-owned homes in the southeastern United States. This stunning 36,000-square-foot Greek Revival masterpiece was thoughtfully designed to embody the Neal family’s dedication to faith, family, generosity and an impressive collection of art and antiques. Our private tour includes lunch. At the conclusion of our immersive Linbrook experience, we travel a little further west to the Catawba Valley where we experience this year’s festival theme, Crafting America: 250 Years Through Pottery and Antiques. This indoor festival celebrates the nation’s rich artistic and cultural heritage through the lens of Southern craftsmanship with over 100 potters. The rich pottery heritage is one of North Carolina's most cherished cultural traditions. You have the opportunity to meet the potters, shop prior to the public hours on Saturday and enjoy an Americana style buffet and music at the Friday evening Premiere Party.

Saturday offers two options: You can return to the festival for shopping, pottery demonstrations and a lecture by celebrated North Carolina potter Mary Farrell OR you can hear about Hickory's fascinating history in the furniture industry, learn about the Miracle of Hickory and view one of 4 known surviving Revolutionary War Red Coats at the Catawba County History Museum. There will also be time to visit Hickory's Downtown Social District for lunch and shopping at locally owned specialty shops prior to our journey back to the coast.   Read more about the trip detail and register at the link below.   If you prefer to register and pay with a personal check or Venmo, contact Patty at [email protected]  or call 404-791-3166 for payment instructions.
